Newly Expanded High School Boys' Basketball Program
After a successful 2009 program where we started a 9th – 10th grade boys’ league, we are now expanding our NMYBO program to include all high school grades. This program is for 9th – 12th graders who do not play on the high school freshman, JV or Varsity teams.
As this is our first year trying this program for 9th – 12th graders, some of the details will depend on the number of children enrolled, so please help us get the word out.
We will have an in-town league. This program will be instructional with the intent to develop basketball skills and an understanding of the game. We hope to provide a fun and rewarding experience for all participants, by having everyone play about the same amount of time, while ensuring everyone learns the correct way to play the game.
Registration will occur after high school tryouts are complete so all the boys will know if they are eligible to play in our in-town league, as it is only for the kids who do not make the high school basketball teams. We are planning to have a combined registration and evaluation sessions as listed below, and each child should attend only one session.

. Registration forms and waivers will be available at registration and also on http://newmilfordhoops.org/ in the next few days.
We will have 1 game per weekend (which will likely be Sat afternoon) and one practice during the week. Our league will start up in early Jan and complete by the end of March / Early April.
Since the boys are a bit older, we are exploring the possibility of using adult referees for our games.
Tell anyone you know that may be interested, and we’ll see you at registration. The success of the program depends on getting as many kids as we can to register!
If you are interested in helping out, whether it is coaching, assistant coaching, registration, etc., please send Shai Joshi an email at

We will definitely need help with coaches and assistant coaches.
